Proxmox Backup Server

Proxmox Backup Server is an open-source, enterprise backup solution for backing up and restoring virtual machines, containers and physical hosts. It backs up your data in a space-efficient manner, and restores virtual machines, archives or single objects quickly.

Proxmox

Backups are incremental and deduplicated, so each one sends and stores only what changed. Remote synchronisation copies them to a second backup server, and they can be encrypted and verified, with ransomware protection for the data that matters most.

Subscriptions include access to the stable Enterprise Repository for updates and security fixes, and enterprise-grade technical support.

How a subscription works

A year at a time

A subscription runs for a year from purchase and renews automatically for another. Bought with one of our servers, the first year is on the server’s first invoice and each renewal is invoiced on its own.

Cancel whenever you like

Switch renewal off in the portal, or ask us, at any time. The subscription runs to the end of the year paid and then stops. Years already paid are not refunded.

Upgrade, not downgrade

A subscription can move up a level during the year, but not down. To go to a lower level, let it end and start the new one at renewal.

Licensed by the machine

Proxmox VE is licensed per occupied CPU socket, and every socket in the server needs covering; on our servers we count them for you. Proxmox Backup Server is licensed per server. Community subscriptions come in 1, 2 and 4 socket packs.

Moving hardware

A subscription key is bound to one server. If the hardware changes, the key can be reissued for the new machine up to three times a year at no cost; we do it for you.

Support, from us and from Proxmox

We are your first point of contact at every level. You can also contact Proxmox Enterprise Support directly at any time, and doing so changes nothing about what we owe you.

These follow Proxmox’s own subscription agreement, which governs the support Proxmox provides. Prices exclude VAT: Greek customers pay 24%; businesses elsewhere in the EU with a valid VAT number are reverse-charged.

Talk to an engineer who runs it.

Tell us what you run today and what you want to move. We will tell you what the Proxmox side looks like, which subscription fits, and what it costs.
