- Is a paid certificate more secure than a free one?
No. The encryption is identical. What you are buying with a validated certificate is a check that your organisation is real, which matters for some sectors and some procurement rules, and not at all for most sites.
- Can you install certificates on equipment you do not host?
Yes. Load balancers, firewalls, mail servers and appliances are common cases. We handle the request, installation and renewal process with you.
- What happens when a certificate is close to expiry?
We track the date and start the renewal before it becomes urgent. Where the certificate can be renewed automatically, we do that; where paperwork or validation is needed, we contact you in time.
